Wasp

The wasp is done, making it the second in my Delicate Grotesque series. This one is also embroidered in vintage fabric, a delicate doily that was the perfect size for the design. I still have to look for a frame that is complements it and hang it up along with the Goliath beetle.

As I think of the next one in the series, I am tackling something else. Something new embroidered on fabric that I wove on my loom. Stay tuned!

    Amazing! This one is fascinating. I can’t stop looking at it! lol You’d love visiting Hunan province in China because the people in that province are virtuosos at embroidery and also do photorealistic designs that are hard to believe even when you see them in person.
